Windows From USB

Installing Windows with a USB pen?
Ok, so my CD drive broke and I needed to install windows again.
I’d tried everything, but it turned out my CD drive was broken.  I tried a few USB boot programs that should take my windows CD and install it on to a USB pen that my PC would boot from.
After trying 3 or 4, I finally found ‘Rufus’.
We incredibly easy to do (as it should be!)
1. Download Rufus (http://rufus.akeo.ie/)
2. Insert your windows CD in to a PC with a working CD drive.

3. Insert your usb pen drive in to the PC with the working CD drive.

4. Follow the instructions
Rufus will copy the contents of the CD to the USB pen drive and make it bootable.
You can then insert the USB pen in to the machine with the broken CD drive and boot from the USB pen.
Your machine with the broken CD drive can now have windows installed again.
Good luck!
